We may all have been through this journey: spotting a super cute storage item online, but finding it full of annoying wrinkles after receiving it. You may find your new item looks totally different from its listing picture, feeling frustrated and cheated over and over again.

Removing wrinkles with an iron is easy. But a clothes iron is not an option. Besides the fact that not all of us own one, the snoozefest of using it keeps us from buying such a thing. That's why we took the time to figure out how to remove wrinkles from storage products without a clothes iron or hanging steam iron.

If you are the ones who want everything to be neat and organized at home like us, then these tricks are just for you. They will save you time, energy, and money from buying unnecessary devices and products.

Use a Flat Iron

Yes, you are reading correctly. Using the same device that straightens your hair can remove creases on your fabric storage products (like the STORAGEWORKS hanging closet organizer). No need to fiddle with an ironing board or clothes iron here. All you need is to pull the fabric tight and run your device along several times. Make sure to clean your flat iron before using it so that your hair spray won't be rubbed off on the cloth, and move fast to avoid burning the product fabric.

The boon is that the flat iron is good at smoothing wrinkles on basically any edges, including the collar, cuffs, or hem of your shirts, while the catch is that it is mainly good at smoothing wrinkles on edges.

Use a Hair Dryer

Given the catch of the flat iron, you will need other methods to remove the wrinkles on the back side of the product, where your flat iron can't reach. Spray some water on the creases and blow dry them out. It will be easier if you smooth the wrinkles with your hand when you blow-dry.

Use a Damp Towel

At home or on travel, towels are easy to find. Dampen one of your towels and wring it out. Then gently press it on the wrinkles on the storage products. Put your hand under the fabric to help smooth out the wrinkles. To remove creases on clothes, put them on a flat surface instead.

Use Your Bathroom

Steaming is also an effective way to remove creases. While you are taking a shower or bathing in a bathtub, hang your storage products in your bathroom with the door closed. In around 10 minutes, the steam will smooth out the creases. While it is not the most effective method, it's useful and easy in urgent cases.

Use a Kettle

Go to the kitchen. Your kettle can help, because it steams. An electric kettle or a stockpot with lid is fine, too. Boil some water for tea or coffee. When the kettle starts steaming, turn off the stove or cut the power first (watch out for fires!). Then hold the storage product over it, but keep a 1-foot distance so the product doesn't get damaged.

For the sake of safety and convenience, we prefer not to use fire. So, we omit other methods involving fire and advise you to operate carefully and safely.
