The handles help with moving and arranging the storage basket when it is filled with accessories. We liked the overall constructions and attention to detail of this large basket. It has many uses in the kitchen, the bath, and the bedroom. It also works in the family room to hold remote controls and magazines. The basket Hyacinth material is thick and strong making for a firm and secure basket. We found this item to be a good value.

I received the Natural size 16 ½ hyacinth basket.It is so lovely and large! The quality is amazing. The weave is very well done and it has a heavier weight to it than other similar baskets I own. The handles are very chic and comfortable. I also noticed it has a pleasant, almost walnut smell to it. It is such a lovely basket that looks good just about anywhere in my natural themed home. This is a basket that deserves visibility in the home, so I chose to display and store items in it on an open bookshelf. It’s extremely versatile and is the perfect option to store medium to large items. In fact, I can fit about 14 large hardcover books in it, or even 8-10 medium sized bath items! This basket would also make a very lovely base for a homemade gift basket.

The connection is solid, but if the woven parts were to break or weaken over time, that might pose a potential problem. I will be using this in my pantry to hold sauces and pasta for now, as it matches the other StorageWorks water hyacinth baskets I’m already using there. It’s not only utilitarian, it’s also decorative, so the space looks organized, cohesive and pulled together.I will mention that the basket I received had a few issues, which is not my usual experience with StorageWorks products. There is a piece of metal rod that is sticking out of the base of the basket. It was either not cut down properly or it was just too long. There’s no way to push it in further. In addition, that side of the woven basket was also pushed inward and misshapen when I received it. I did pull it out to fix it, but it’s still not perfect. Also, one corner is indented and full of marks. There were also marks on other parts of the water hyacinth material in various spots. The basket is still functional and looks good enough, but I was still disappointed by the number of issues found on the piece. I only mention all of this because this was my personal experience with the basket that I received.Overall a useful and nice looking basket, but I would have preferred that it didn’t have the issues it arrived with. Obviously I’m still using it as is, and it is still quite functional and looks good, flaws and all.

However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn how durable and well constructed it is.It’s about the size of a dresser drawer, give or take, and because it’s so well made I can actually store a decent amount in it. I have it in my living room with a few throw blankets, books, and remotes. The handles are strong and could probably support even more.
